This course is designed to provide detailed information on the design and operation of centrifugal chillers. Attendees will study chiller operations to include, lift, approach, temperature and pressure relationships, heat exchange mediums, cooling demand, controls and adjustments. Recommendations for maintenance procedures also will be discussed, and an in-depth look at chiller logs and identification of problems will be taken. Discussion will also cover the wiring differences of units with general sequences of operation and maintenance. This class will not focus on a specific rooftop manufacturer; rather, it will be general rooftop mechanical concepts.
